  7. 1776 ArrayDriver is available either as an OEM product, or as part of 1776
  8. Disk Array Software, 1776 Disk Striping and 1776 Multi-Host (see separate
  9. listings.) It is a SCSI device driver environment providing disk, tape, and
  10. host adapter driver functionality with a number of special capabilities - disk
  11. mirroring, striping, spanning, RAID 10 and RAID 10.5 arrays.  Other RAID
  12. levels may be available by the time you read this.  It also offers
  13. multiple-computer clustering on a shared SCSI bus to provide system
  14. fault-tolerance.  By integrating these functions into disk and board device
  15. driver code from a single vendor, thus eliminating multiple layers of storage
  16. management and driver software, the highest possible performance and
  17. reliability are enabled.  Further performance gains result from advanced disk
  18. buffering, software-level scatter-gather, optimization of head movement
  19. through fast sorting of very large I/O queues, and minimized system
  20. interrupts.  As evidence, Neal Nelson benchmark testing shows disk performance
  21. enhancement up to 3.5X single disk performance using only four striped drives.
